Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence Association, or in short PREMIA, is a professional non-profit society registered in Singapore and an International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) member society since 2004. PREMIA aims to provide a forum for scientists and engineers in Singapore who are interested in pattern recognition and machine intelligence research. Specifically, the topics of research interest include but not limited to computer vision, image processing, speech analysis, robotics, multimedia, document analysis, character recognition, knowledge engineering, fractal analysis and intelligent control, statistical techniques, neural networks, evolutionary programming, fuzzy logic, machine learning, and hardware implementation. Furthermore, PREMIA is affiliated with IAPR so as to provide a link for our local researchers to the international community. In this website you will find useful information on membership, awards, courses and activities conducted every year. We expect the information on this website to be of particular interest to students, researchers, lecturers, engineers and practitioners in the community. However, anyone interested to know more about the world of artificial intelligence is likely to find this information useful.
                  | The 17th PREMIA Annual General Meeting 2020The 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence Association (PREMIA) will be held on Thursday, 30 July 2020 at 7:45pm and will be conducted as a fully virtual AGM at a Zoom meeting room.
PREMIA Member's Night 2019PREMIA Member's Night 2019 will be held at "The Meeting Point" just outside One-North MRT station, 6:30pm-9:30pm on 19 Feb 2019. More details are announced here.
PREMIA Short Course 2018
PREMIA will organize short courses on the fundamentals and applications for machine learning, image processing and deep learning in 2018. More details are here.
PREMIA Annual General Meeting 2019 PREMIA will have its 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 5 August 2019, 7pm-10pm. The venue is: Event Hall 2 of "The Meeting Point” at JTC Launchpad at One-north, 73B Ayer Rajah Crescent, Singapore 139952. This year is an election-year for new PREMIA Board Members. All PREMIA members are welcome to attend to vote for the new Board. There will be PREMIA Best Student Paper Awards for journal and conference papers. Free dinner. Networking opportunities.
