The 19th PREMIA Annual General Meeting

We wish to notify you the 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence Association (PREMIA). This year, we are back to hold an in-person AGM meeting. The AGM is scheduled as the following:

 

Date & Time: 6:30PM-9:00PM, Monday, 1 August 2022

Venue: ACE Ideation Centre, Blk 79 Ayer Rajah Crescent, #01-13, JTC LaunchPad@One-north Singapore 139955.  (Google Map Link)

Event Highlights

 

  • Dinner will be provided at the meeting. Please make your registration.
  • The event venue is at JTC LaunchPad, Singapore’s Silicon Valley, which is close to One-North MRT station.
  • There will be lucky draws worth $800, and all attendances will be given a sure-win gift at the event.
  • To join the meeting, you are required to be a PREMIA member. You can join PREMIA or renew your membership before the meeting.
  • This year is our PREMIA’s election year. We will elect a new president and seven board members. All PREMIA full members are welcome to vote for the new Board.

Nomination of President and Board Members

According to PREMIA’s constitution (URL: http://www.premiasg.org/about/constitution/), the PREMIA Board include a President, a Vice President, a Treasurer, a Secretary and four other members. All PREMIA full members are qualified to be nominated as board members. PREMIA President, Treasurer and Secretary must be Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent residents (PR). Unelected nominees in President voting are still allowed to take part board members’ election. Each nomination is required to be seconded by another full member. Self-nomination is allowed. A nominee is also allowed to be seconded by himself or herself if it is not a self-nomination. All nominees must accept the nominations and attend our AGM.

 

If you are interested to nominate any full members as President or board members, you may send a PowerPoint slide (one slide only) with introduction of the nominee to Dr. Dong Ming Hui (mhdong@i2r.a-star.edu.sg). Each member is allowed to submit one President nomination and up to other seven nominations for Board Members. Please indicate the name and email of the full member who is seconded your nomination. The deadline of nomination is 26 July 2022.
