The 21st PREMIA Annual General Meeting

We wish to notify you the 21st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence Association (PREMIA). The AGM is scheduled as the following:

 

Date & Time: 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, 23 August 2024

Venue: ACE Ideation Centre, Blk 79 Ayer Rajah Crescent, #01-13, JTC LaunchPad@One-north Singapore 139955.  (Google Map Link)

Event Highlights

• Dinner will be provided at the meeting. Please make your registration.
• The event venue is at JTC LaunchPad, Singapore’s Silicon Valley, which is close to One-North MRT station.

• There will be lucky draws worth $800, and all attendances will be given a sure-win gift at the event.
• To join the meeting, you are required to be a PREMIA member. You can join PREMIA or renew your membership before the meeting.
• This year is our PREMIA’s election year. We will elect a new board. All PREMIA full members are welcome to vote for the new Board.

Membership Registration/Renewal

PREMIA membership year is from 1 Aug of the current year to 31 July of the next year. Payment of the membership fee is non-refundable. 
1.        Full membership fee is $40.
2.        Student membership is $20.

Important: Please indicate your name registered with PREMIA in the format “PREMIA membership -YOUR_FULLNAME” in the message when making the online transfer. Upon transaction, please take a snapshot of your transaction record and email it to membership@premiasg.org with your registered name, and the transaction message.

Nomination of President and Board Members
According to PREMIA’s constitution (URL: http://www.premiasg.org/about/constitution/), the PREMIA Board include a President, a Vice President, a Treasurer, a Secretary and up to eight other members. All PREMIA full members are qualified to be nominated as board members. PREMIA President, Treasurer and Secretary must be Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent residents (PR). Each nomination is required to be seconded by another full member. All nominees must accept the nominations and attend our AGM.

If you are interested to nominate any full members as President or board members, you may send a PowerPoint slide (one slide only) with introduction of the nominee to Dr. Dong Ming Hui (dongminghui@gmail.com). Each member is allowed to submit one President nomination and up to other seven nominations for Board Members. Please indicate the name and email of the full member who is seconded your nomination. The deadline of nomination is 20 Aug  2024.
